The logbooks of Software Engineering

Notes, patterns, and dispatches from the front lines of software.

Note from the editor

The Logbooks of Software Engineering is a collection of notes, patterns, and observations about growing as an engineer and navigating the many layers of this industry. The goal is simple: if anything here helps even one person think more clearly or avoid a painful mistake, it has served its purpose. The publication is organized into three logbooks: Pair with a Senior for early and mid-level engineers, Dispatches from the Architect for senior and staff-level thinkers, and People Patterns for leaders who want to understand teams, incentives, and the human side of engineering.
